Not Working Mon Jul 07, 2014 12:52 AM Quote

Hi

This product has worked well for me for for a long time however recently it appeared to stop working as the snipe icon did not appear on the ebay page on items set for snipe

When the auction was over not a single bid & I missed the snipe, has ebay done something to block this application?

I was not sure I had the latest version (1.1.4 build 551) as the web site does not give the build number so I downloaded the latest version from the website and re-installed found it was the same so I rechecked and got the same result, I also checked my firewall & it was still set to allow myibay.exe

Any clues please

You are talking about two different (and independent) things:
1. Your browser's add-on which puts Myibidder icon on the eBay pages.
2. Your Windows application (version 1.1.4 which is the latest).

Also, you refer to the actual snipe which has nothing to do with the add-on or Windows app installed on your PC. Let's mark it as #3.

Let me try to through each of them and you'll see if you need more information.

1. You need to install the add-on for your browser for it.
Firefox: http://www.myibidder.com/link/firefox
Chrome: http://www.myibidder.com/link/chrome
Other browsers are not supported the same way.

2. The website gives the version numbers on the Download page: http://www.myibidder.com/download/.
Not sure what issue you are having besides finding the latest version. Were you able to login? If yes, then it works fine.

3. Your actual snipe. You did not provide the item number in question and the status of your snipe, so I can't tell you exactly what happened.
The most popular issue recently is that you changed your eBay password recently, but did not re-login into the sniper using your updated login information so it's not in sync until you do it.
The easiest way to confirm it is to try to access your Watch List. If the sniper was able to report some items, that means your login was accepted by eBay.
If not, please update your eBay password and re-login into the sniper using your updated login information.
