I put my limit at £35 and the app bid straight at my limit rather than a minimum increment, and they then beat me by a minimum increment, and 3 seconds before my lower bid?!
I don't understand what happened here could a developer explan?ty

The sniper always bids the amount you specified.
If nobody bid higher, you will win at the lowest possible price just enough to outbid the previous bidder by one increment.
After all, the highest bidder wins, not the latest.

Thanks for response.
They bid in the last few seconds as well, does eBay do this for users if they set a maximum bid? My first impression was that my opponent also used a snipe app.
My question really is this:- how did they win?
The issue is that they won at £1 minimum increment, and within the last few seconds.. Whatever they did beat the snipe app at it's own game..

Another bidder used a sniper to bid on last seconds.
If you are using it, someone else may use it too.
