updating of bid prices | Sun May 11, 2008 07:15 AM

Hi,
Does your web-based system update the bid price when the list is updated?
The reason for this query is that I'm watching an item which on my ebay watch list is currently GBP3.23 and your list displays the current bid as GBP0.20 - which was the bid price when I placed my snipe.
Could this be because I use the www.ebay.co.uk website?
Regards

Hi, there.
I have on one recent occasion set the sniper to bid for me (well in advance of the item going off- about two days before), and then found an identical item with a buy-it-now price less than the original item.
I subsequently went back to the sniper to reduce the bid to BLANK, but after buying the BIN item (and a little more time passing) found that I had TWO identical items to pay for.
It seems to me that there should be some facility for withdrawing a bid on / interest in an item, on the window which pops up. Is it already there, and I just don't know how to work it?? And if it isn't there, maybe consideration needs to be given to adding such a facility, otherwise a SNIPE is an irrevocable bid.
Thank you for your time

myiBay Status on Item Description Page | Fri May 16, 2008 11:08 AM

When I visit an Item's Description page, there is your crosshair logo and a link labelled 'Snipe it', that stays consistent whether I've sniped it or not.
Once an item has had sniping set up the status of this link should be updated to reflect this, perhaps using a different label (e.g. Being Sniped or Sniping Active) and maybe a slighty different logo. ;)

Hi.
I accidentally posted my snipe amount too big and would like to clear that entry or change it. Is there a way to do it?
Thank you.

Maximum Bid, Minimum Win Option | Fri May 23, 2008 05:19 PM

I think it would be really convenient if myibay would let you specify a maximum amount that you would want to pay for the item, then as the bid closes it bids just enough (50 cents or so) higher than the previous bid (if it's less than your specified maximum). This way people could win the item for the absolute minimum price needed, taking away the worry of having to go back and make your bid just higher than the last one.
If there is already a way of doing this, please let me know how.

I have had 3 failed snipes recently where I should have had the highest bid but did not win the auction and eBay shows no record that my bid was placed. Am I doing something wrong?

Does the browser (firefox) need to be up and running for the snipe to work?

I just started using your service and, if it works as expected, I think I'm going to like it a lot.
I tried adding items to a new group by using the Add Item text box and button on the Groups page, but nothing happened. I had to add the items on the Buy page, select each item from there, and use the Change Group pulldown and button on the page for each item. This is not a problem, except that the nonworking Add Item text box and button on the Groups page was a bit confusing.

What will happen if I use here and another sniping website to schedule a bid with a different price?
Questions.
1. what if I use 2 snipings to bid from here and another site with the same price?
2. what if I use 2 snipings to bid from here and another site with different prices?

Hi, I want to here from users who have experienced this site.
What is the minimum period (seconds) before an auction ends can you put in this myibay?
Please tell us so we can be sure it works.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I would like to thank you for presenting one of the best sniping sites that I have ever used. I find myibay.com as one of the best tools I have ever used in any ebay auction.
This is not an email to suck up but an email to express my gratitude to the developer/creator of this wonderful site.
Thank you

Hi,
Don't now if these bugs has been reported yet.
The current bid is not updated after the moment I sniped the item.
I could get the program to populate the listing from a search on seller's name.
